Heartfelt Maternity Session at home

We photographed this laid back, pretty maternity session at T and K’s sun-drenched home in Breakfast Point. We wanted to create a story that was beyond beautiful; more than just a maternity session. Our hope was that these photographs would not just be individual moments that we captured, but they would have layers of heartfelt stories and precious memories woven into each one.

Keeping it simple, we decided that bringing in elements from their wedding day would be so thoughtful, so we had the amazing Alison from Visually Creative create lush floral arrangements that resonated with T’s wedding bouquet. The wedding was the start of their chapter together, and now they were about to enter another gorgeous new chapter as parents. The flowers were a subtle yet perfect touch.

We talked about their little, everyday stories… We captured their romance through hints and gestures that tell so much… The necklace he gifted her, indulging in lazy afternoon teas at home, pursuing dreams and working right through pregnancy, her favourite tea, the playful little puppy, the tender massage from the loving husband when the baby bump gets a little too big and the soreness comes…

These little in between stories are truly what makes life worth living, wouldn’t you agree?
