This is a tale of two sisters, who grew up in the beautiful countryside, where they would twirl in open fields, wearing white flowing dresses and french hats with bows. On the eve of the eldest sister’s wedding day, they took a stroll down memory lane and revisited their most treasured childhood moments. Picking delicate flowers and chasing each other through fields of tall grasses, soaking up the wild air.
The sweet little sister gave a heartfelt gift full of love, an illustration of them both, filled with fond memories of their everlasting bond.
“Side by side, or miles apart, we are sisters connected by the heart.”
This shoot is inspired by my very close friendship with my dear sister and is a tribute to all the sisters in the world – our forever best friends.
Our parents sent us to Singapore so we could have a better education, and hence we spent our early teenage years without our parents. The experience deeply bonded us, as we only had each other. Together, we navigated the wild waters of adolescence, sharing our deepest struggles, our greatest victories and every precious moment in between. We fought so much, but we also loved each other just as much. We have gone through so much together and I just can’t imagine life without her.
Thank you, mom and dad, for giving us the gift of each other!
