Heartfelt Story behind Madame Tulle’s shoot at Chateau De Mairy, France

I opened my email and read the line: ‘Let’s do this’ ✨

Just the day before, I went to see Kay, founder of Madame Tulle in her Sydney studio, a space filled with heavenly veils.

She wanted me to photograph her new veils and my gut instinct told me to propose to her a crazy idea…to do this in France and have her come along with me.

It’s amazing how life helps you when you set your mind to dream big, especially if you have a gorgeous and generous heart. Kay’s veils are a delicate work of art. She relies on her heart to guide her when creating these veils. They will stand the test of time and become precious heirlooms that will be passed down through generations.

A miracle happened when Kay found out that the biggest support in her business, ‘G’, was going to be in Paris too – at the same time we would be shooting.  How serendipitous is that? I think it was truly meant to be!  Looking back, without G’s support, the shoot would have been very challenging to pull off. It’s like having two Kays with G around!

I caught up with Kay a few days ago to celebrate. Her eyes lit up and the way her hands waves and moves from describing her Paris experience is like a happy dance. She said that it was more than just a photo shoot. It was an enlightening experience where she rediscovered her 20-year-old self – fearless and full of dreams.

Shortly after Paris, Kay said G started to feel unwell and was eventually diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 💔Everyone was caught off-guard as she is young and so healthy. G is now going through chemo. The first treatment didn’t work and now she’s trying her next treatment. She needs a miracle!

Perhaps it’s meant to be that I get to meet G and know of her life story through Kay. With Kay’s permission, I thought to ask thousands of my kind followers on social media to pray for G to get better so they can continue chasing their dreams together…

God, please have mercy. I believe that everything works out for good. Please touch G’s body and make her whole again. May the testimony of her recovery bring a story of hope that will encourage many. Thank you precious God, Amen.

As we continue to take time to pray for Australia’s bushfire disaster, would you please mention G’s name too? ❤️

With lots of gratitude ✨
